Yanno I tried to check online by searching DuckDuckGo and I 100% didn’t even think to check social media like a noob so that’s on me. Thank you for sharing this!

I should have realized that after there were no updates on any Mac apps before a launch.

    Cheers @klownshed

This random bug I mentioned from macOS Tahoe Version 26.0.0 seems to have been resolved in the latest 26.0.1 update. Just commenting for posterity sake

Thanks for the update! Im still on Sequoia, on my somewhat ancient, M1 MacAir..

  • iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 and watchOS 26 are OK to update on those devices. I'd urge everyone to avoid installing macOS 26 for 4, 5 or 6 months. Especially if your plugins have not been updated. I've heard about the problems directly from the mouths of developers and the macOS story is not pretty right now.

I guess it has gotten a bit old at this point. I have the same one, feels snappy enough as long as your only on an app or two.

The latest OS 26 seems best fitted for iPads in my experience. Just feels the smoothest. iPhone has been glitchy / not smooth. Mac had that issue I mentioned. iPad has been fine after update no issues and looks great. 🤷🏻‍♂️

OS 26’s windowing feature on iPad really does make the update feel geared towards making the iPad more of a laptop. I don’t see any benefits brought to iPhone making me feel the need to update.

Interesting that the M1 is being considered ancient. I got an M2 mini recently and have been very impressed. I wouldn’t imagine a huge difference would be present between the two.

  • lol! Indeed, it’s (MacAir M1) not that old, but since updates seem to be happening all the time & there’s so many newer devices..Agree that 26 is cool on iPads, tho “open with” is buggy af

HST, my v.ancient iPhoneXSMax can’t handle 26, so will remain on 18. If that phone isn’t considered ancient, then my original iPhone SE must! Still on os15 & works gr8! Also, I found a v.ancient SurfacePro3 with win8, while clearing out some old stuff. Charged it & turned it on - still works! Ancient vsts, like the original z3ta+, etc. Also, all the original flaws I remember - overheating, audio bugs, etc - oh yeah!! 😉

I’m still waiting for a Mac that has a touchscreen, which has been rumoured..

Sorry for not responding! It was saved in the drafts, I think I remember having some internet issues that day on my phone.

Speaking of bugs, I can't use any AUV3's in MiRack, or Drambo, on my Mac. It seems like it started on the 4th for me if not earlier.

I should say, I can load them, I just cant move any of the parameters with any sort of rhyme or reason.

Uninstalled, reinstalled, shut off bluetooth, etc on all the apps too.

I’m still waiting for a Mac that has a touchscreen, which has been rumoured..

Lots of rumors that it's coming soon, I'm going to wait it out. As long as I don't hyper focus on the RAM usage the M1 Air is fine for everydsay stuff.

Ha! No apologies necessary, WiFi can be a byatch sometimes! Speaking of which, my SIM died in my phone (xsmax) about a week ago, so I had to use relative’s phone for important calls for several days! Didn’t help that it died on Friday night, meaning extra slow delivery, working now tho, thank frak!

Thanks for the heads up on MacOS26 re Drambo & MiRack - I haven’t even used those at all on my Mac, the touch control is too good for me on iOS! Although, I see how it could be useful, especially for transferring your creations to Mac, etc.

Hear u on waiting for the potential touchscreen Mac! Even my old base M1 MacAir with 8gb ram is doing all I need it to!
