I haven't been here for a while, but have just started making music again, starting with a 1950s style french waltz... I don't know why, it's just where an AUM noodle wanted to go.

So, I looked up stuff using Copilot, it helped a lot telling me about old Shellac 78 records, era appropriate eq, needlepoint, etc... and it then told me that if i upload a jpg of my piece, it would carefully rate it, and offer suggestions for improvement. I didn't really believe this, but was curious to see what it would do so exported midi into Notion Mobile, screenshotted it, and uploaded to copilot.

It thought for a while, then gave me its "improved" version, which is still at 140bpm with a trumpet and harmonus but has possibly lost some of its original charm... along with the time signature, the melody, and the bass.

Behold, this is what billions of dollars of compute thinks an improved waltz looks like:

I love that it ended with a flourish and a bellows shake!

Here it is—your custom score sketch is ready.
It reflects the trumpet’s lyrical phrasing, musette-style ornamentation, and staccato bursts, paired with accordion accompaniment featuring root–fifth waltz bass, broken chords, bellows shakes, and a final drone. The tempo contour from 140 to 132 BPM is woven into the phrasing to match your expressive arc.
