MFX motto by ALM Co. (Released)

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mfx-motto/id6746859149
Important! 'MFX motto' is an Audio Unit Effects Plugin (AUv3) which requires a compatible host app or DAW to work. It does not function as a standalone app.
'MFX motto' is a multi-effects plugin from ALM
Busy Circuits, which brings the much lauded FX engines from our 'MFX' Eurorack, Guitar Pedal and Desktop plugins now to the iPad with the unique ability to now chain multiple effects.
Inspired by our favourite classic hardware effects processors, the MFX motto incorporates DSP technologies from the dawn of digital effects in the 70s to the present day. This combines with ALM character and uniqueness to form a highly useful, fun and practical iPad effects processor. Reshape sounds with the distortion and dynamics engines. Bend time, space and pitch with multiple feature rich reverb and delay engines. Modulate signals with the flexible panner and range of ensemble effects. Fracture sounds with the one of a kind granular and glitch engines.
Unique to the MFX motto is the ability to create custom effect chains of up to 11 effects in any order - all within the plugin itself - allowing for clear, efficient routing between multiple effects.
Effects include;
- QuaidraVerb reverb
- Almicon reverb
- Digi-PCM Echo delay
- Tape-Tech Echo delay
- TY-50 Dynamics compressor and expander
- Multi Phaser
- Ensembles Ensemble chorus
- Modulating Panner autopan
- Pocket PL8 reverb
- Slinky echoverb
- 2051 Bit Corrupter glitch and looper
'MFX motto' is an Audio Unit Effects Plugin (AUv3) which requires a compatible host or DAW like Garageband, AUM, etc. to function. Please check you have access to one of these before purchasing.

Comments
I am a huge fan of Motto Akemie and this is very interesting. I listened a while ago to their fx and they are really cool. They seem to have bundled all their fx and squeeze them into one app.
Surprisingly deep lil verbs. Good @Gavinski video on it up too. @Slush same- I also use Piano Modoki via IAA when I started getting really into Piano Motifs. I found it to sound excellent, especially with the Akemie fm banks
What a fantastic release for iOS. These FX are top class. Love it.
Thnx bro. Do the Akemie FM banks in Modoki have any relation to the Motto Akemie app or the eurorack module it's based on? I wonder if the naming is just a coincidence?
Modoki looks rad!
Oh this is welcome news! I’d love to try out these effects. But I gotta say, it makes me crave a Pam’s Pro Workout as an iOS device somehow. I have no idea how the output could work over midi/auv3.
Maybe it could output 14-bit midi lfo’s, as well as midi notes & “gates”?
I love the UI.
I thought I'd skip this one, partly because of the horrible UI (such different eyes we have @wim😅) but after reading your various input above, I thought I can at least try it for 14 days if nothing else. It does have some interesting outputs and one can tell it's quality.
But! No preset system, I mean it takes a while if you want to set up several modules, I know, I can save locally but still. Also and this is worse than the preset issue, no exposed parameters, I find that a bit odd and wonder if they plan to add it and this release is a measure of interest (?).
I saw their other release at the store when buying this and was wondering if that one ever got any takers?
Oh damn, they didn't expose the parameters? That's frigging wild, people should complain about that and they should add them
What a nice finger and eye friendly user interface!
a very strange port:(
I was waiting for this because I use their MFX in Vcvrack but...
no params exposed?!
only 2/3 of the module fx ported?!
why?!- will there be all at some point?!
is there any1 who knows about this?!
exactly the fx that I wanted are not ported;)
unlucky me...
Crumbular Echo
More experimental granular style echo.
Ursa Minor Echoverb
Emulation of the classic Ursa Major ‘Space station’ providing more delays and reverb type effects.
Yetti Reverb
A more modern FDN based reverb engine. Added pitch shifter for other worldly effects.
TH-30 Distortion
A versatile distortion program with distortion types ranging from analog style saturation to intense digital wavefolding.
Squoval Resonator
8 band mono or 4 band true-stereo resonator built from a collection of linked resonant band pass filters.
Very happy to see it all in one app. Unlike some other products that do a single app for each effect. Well done and usable UI.
I also like the way these devs price their iOS apps - very competitive compared to many desktop ports.
@Gavinski Hey Gavin, great Youtube demo! I want to report that the Modulating Panner works in Drambo as well as Apematrix, but it seems only to do something in Mono mode, the other modes is kind of a mystery to me. The dropdown menu bug do not appear small in the left upper corner in my hosts, maybe an AUM thing?
@waka_x Good points, I will address your points to support.
@Pxlhg The other release in the store is Motto Akemie, it’s great!
You're just put off because there's no animated character to go with it. 😎
Damn, I had hoped we could keep that between us.🙃
Although the panner seemed not to be working in AUM when I was making my demo, it is now working, so I dunno, maybe was something about my settings at the time. I'm gonna do a super detailed Patreon walkthrough going into all the stuff I didn't cover in that first video, probably later today. This is a FABULOUS little app imo!
It is! And I love the UI, super clean.
Yes, I like these UIs, and I'll take them over badly done skeumorphic shyte any day!
Personally I don’t find the UI super inviting. Why do the menu pop ups jump to top left for example? But the sound is killer and that’s what counts the most.
That weird pop-up thing is a bug @gusgranite, I reported it and they acknowledged it
I'm glad y'all mentioned no AUv3 parameters exposed. I almost bought it just based on looks and the marketing blurb. I would not have been happy with myself if I did.
Same. Does their other app have exposed parameters?
I almost refunded this but after playing around with it some more I changed my mind. The two echo's, the QuadraVerb and the TY-50 are very nice, the rest I don't think I'll use much.
It's really cool you can add the same plugin many times, most multi effects don't let you do that. Fingers crossed: they add exposed parameters.
Motto Akemie has only the first voice covered with exposed parameters.
Reply from ALM Co.
“We plan to possibly port more engines over time. Right now all the engines that exist as desktop plugins have been ported. First we plan to add some features to the app itself namely parameter support and some kind of preset system.”
Good news!
In AUM I see parameters for all 6 voices exposed in Motto Akemie.
Can anyone think of an app which has a flexible architecture (like MFX) but which exposes all the parameters?
Modley is a multy FX with a very flexible architecture, and it looks like all parameters are exposed

Oh thnx, that looks like a great example to give them, they're open to trying
