Quick Question: action to set loop length
I'm fairly new to Loopy Pro and I've been trying to construct some templates. In my scenario, I typically set the loop length to undefined (and the count-out quantization to none) as my loops tend to vary in length. Now, sometimes, whilst playing, I need to quickly erase a recorded loop. My issue is that after this the loop length is set to the loop length of the previous recording. I would like this to go back to undefined. I can't seem to find any action that can accomplish this?

Are you wanting automatic count-out so that when you start recording, the loop finishes recording on its own or do you want to queue ending of the recording. I generally recommend not using the fixed loop length setting that you can set in a loop's properties but to use the count-out settings instead -- as when the length is handled by the count-out, clearing the loop gives you the flexibility to record a loop of a different length.
Hi - thx for your answer. No, I actually have the count-out set to none...my issue is that if/when I make a mistake (and that happens often!), I want to delete the clip. When I do though (via a button with an erase clip action), it sets the loop length to the effective length of the last loop (rather than it reverting to "none")
Oh, and when I use "undo" it does work properly (i.e. it goes back to "none"), but there are occassions where undo is not practical, and I need to resort to an erase clip action.
Unless you pre-set the loop length or a copy of the clip is in the sequencer, a clip won’t have a fixed length. Is there a copy of the loop on the sequencer page?
Are you sure you want none as the count-out? If you are recording loops that you want to play well together, that might not be the best choice.
Can you make a screen recording and post a link to it?
Ah! The sequencer....I had experimented with it at some time and totally forgot about it. Seems indeed that the sequencer was the culprit!
Thx so much! I've got a lot to learn :-)
