Hello, maybe you can help with this

Hi there, i am a gigging guitarist and have been playing with Loopy pro at home for practice but slowly building it up to play live.

I am having one issue i cant seem to solve.
I found a drum loop on you tube for Tennessee whiskey i ripped then imported into a loopy. Its 6/8 131bpm.
I want to lock my guitar rhythm loop part to the same loop length as the drum track i have imported and shortened.
My guitar part always is out of phase with the drum loop.

I was thinkiing it could be a quantize, phase lock or grouping function that i want to tell loopy that say clip 1 needs to start recording then clip 2 gets to the start and be the same length.

For context im creating a Blues project page that has some drum loops for various standards and i want to have a whole bunch of them on 1 page with an info note on BPM and timing so can just finish one song and go to the next (but they will be different timing, loop lengths etc).
If this all works then ill kee dialling in a tone and program the foot pedal and see if i can record the rhythm then jam along with a view for live performance.

Thanks in advance

  • Use the Set Master Length action to copy the length. Use master for recording count-in/count-out. You may also want to use the set beats per measure action to set beats per measure to 6.

  • Ah ok, ill try that and report back. Thanks for commenting, i really appreciate it.

Fwiw, posting in the Loopy Pro category is generally the best place to have loopy pro-related questions addressed.

  • Ah ok perfect good to know for next time. Many thanks
