FWIW, the issue isn't going to be whether they work with Loopy Pro but whether they work with iOS. I don't know of any audio interfaces that work with iOS but not Loopy Pro. (There were a few many-channel interfaces where that was the case, but as far as I know those all work now).

  • I have worked with the Scarlett Solo Generation 3 and it works fine with Loopy Pro. I initially had a problem because Loopy Pro only showed the right channel for my guitar input but I found that it was because the input was set to 1+2. When I changed the input to only 2, it showed up as stereo.

  • If you also want to attach any sort of USB device it might be worth looking at the Arturia MiniFuse 2 as it has a built in USB interface. Can be very convenient.

I had Solo 3rd gen and now I have 2i2 3rd gen. Both are OK on iOS and LP as well.
Consider whether you would benefit from separate volume control for headphones; this was the main reason I switched to 2i2.

  • I’ve had a Solo for years and wish I had bought the 2i2 just for the flexibility of using a splitter and being able to plug in a stereo source. It can be done with the Solo but it involves another adapter.
