Auria dead?
It just keeps crashing to desktop these days and wont install after a delete and reinstall attempt. Anyone else have it working on ios26.1?
Ipad M4 with lots of free space.

I have it on 26.01 but haven't tried on latest.
IN MY OPINION: WaveMachine Labs took a huge swing at the ball when they created Auria Pro. But that style of interface, modeled on a Complex studio mixing board doesn’t seem to resonate with enough customers to make the effort pay off.
This seems to happen with some IOS apps that had significant sales that slowed overtime. This can happen to any of our smaller developers that are NOT a part of a larger company that has secure revenue flows like Steinberg’s Cubasis (as a component of Yamaha) or Logic Pro.
Most of the other DAW like apps tend to be “one man shop” enterprises and NanoStudio 2 shows that revenue is crucial to
Justify the effort required to maintain and enhance these incredibly complex use cases.
Auria is a work of software art in my opinion. I invested in all the plugins and extras and used it so much in the past. But for me it always demanded a good spec iPad to make better use of it. Now I have an M4 1tb iPad Auria wont start and its 'sods law' that this is the case for me
It just doesnt want to work with io26 on my iPad and I was wondering if its the ipad or another app causing the issues?
So was curious if anyone else uses it with a newer iPad model and ios version that is working for them?
i currently can run Auria Pro on an Air 4, iOS 16.6. Which is obviously a rare use case.
The only issue I have is the app crashes when warping audio. Which is a big bummer, actually
I send the crash info when the crash query pop up pops up, not sure if anyone hears me.
last update(s) were a year ago. I was surprised then that there was dev love for the app still flowing
i like Auria because it exports projects as AAF, which works nicely in a desktop DAW I like.
Have downloaded Auria on my iPad M1. Trying to restore my purchase to Auria Pro but it’s asking me to pay. I’ve already paid for it.
Keep trying. I loaded onto my M1 Air a couple of days ago. It took ages to get all my purchases to register and reload. Just kept pressing the restore over time and restarting and eventually it worked.
That worked. Thanks.
@Fruitbat1919 @cyberheater pls let me know if warping is a problem with y’all
I emailed Rim about my experience today
I just tried running Auria Pro on my M1 12.9 5th Gen. Latest OS. It worked great! All fab filter plugins working. Will double check Pop Drummer as I had issues with tempo on last OS. Will report back.
Another weird thing is that I show to have Pro-Q2 but I never bought it. I bought the original one long ago.
Same with Pro-MB it shows Pro-MB2 but if I go to the Auria store it shows the prices. Whereas, the other fab filters show installed meaning purchased
Anybody contacted Auria support? In am not on iOS 26.
This is the garbled fonts I get if I adjust the pop drummer screen. If I don’t adjust it then it does display correctly.
Was able to record some midi and audio tracks but it's highly unstable now sadly
in ested heavily on fab filters in there man .. hope they update it
Did you contact support ?
I’m afraid contacting them would be like sending a message in a bottle — pointless and unlikely to reach anyone.
Not yet. I know, I wonder if anyone is on the other side.
Oh well, gonna spend more time in Cubasis and Roland Zenbeats. Both are superb creation apps!
I wish I could try BAM to see if it fits my workflow though.
If nobody contact them they can’t guess their is a problems.
True, but only in the case when the developer is interested in developing their application.
Auria Pro is working on an iPad Pro M4. But with reduced size (full screen, but the faders are at normal iPad size. On a 2017 iPad Pro the size is correct.
I also do not contact support. This has been mentioned in the Auria forum already.
How can they still sell this (for $50) when it doesn't work?
Good question, but the practice is sadly common.
Sometimes it’s a very long time, and there is a fix. I hope this is the case with the issue I have (warp fail)
That is what I was going to say. Bug fixes come very slowly, but they have generally come eventually from what I've seen.
But yeh, if development is basically bare-minimum and such low priority, the app really should be highly discounted. Keeping it at the same pricing as when it was actively developed seems inappropriate to me.
I mean, I'm all for free-markets, but it starts to cross a line when one is knowingly sticking people with a product that won't fully work as advertised for indefinite periods of time.
While they are fixing it the app store description should indicate that it doesn't work with certain iOS versions.
Someone should report them to Apple. I don't own the app so I am not in a position to complain.
Remember when Auria first came out? I was blown away by the whole concept.
It would not need that much work to still be. But ...
I “chased” it since iPad #1, (still was using the #1 when AP first dropped). Each device I bought starting then was just a little bit overwhelmed until I got to iPad Pro (the 10 inch-ish one)
I reloaded it recently just to see if my M1 Air runs it ok, as my old Air 2 always struggled. It is broken though, so I’ve given up with it.
To be honest I’m not really too bothered. I’ve come to the conclusion that I no longer want my iPad to try to do what my Mac does so much better.
I really wished devs would go back to making apps that take advantage of the iPads multi touch interface - this is where the iPad really shines musically imo.
I want to see fx apps that can be easily altered live with interesting multi touch interfaces. I want to see more drum and percussion apps using the same. Lots of interesting touch interfaces that bring the iPad back to being a touch instrument rather than trying to be a portable Mac like studio with cheap apps that barely get supported for the long term, as market forces are not conducive to this in the long term.
Auria was the reason I bought an iPad…back in the day. It’s still on my IPad waiting THE update. I still have massive respect for what Rim accomplished when he released Auria. That’s what made me take iOS seriously for music.
This, yes
I used to Love Auria, it was my go to DAW for a while, till it got too buggy to use. Some of my best productions were made using Auria.
I would gladly pay another $50 to have it updated consistently.
