Digistix2 sample import
I have just spent an hour…
Please dont kill me that i cant import sample folders.
And dont tell me i cant even import multiple files to pads as a drumkit. Only for layers?
How i will add my 100bd 100 sd 100 clap and so on? (maybe more)
It doesnt have regular accent which effects all drumvoice in selected step?
Has it got step delay/nudge?
Comments
In that case - no comment.
Very slowly.
Nope.
Nope.
This info is to squeeze every last drop out of DSX2, since I love the app:
There is sort a delay feature but it is per sample, not per step, which I’m sure is what you’re looking for, @arnou, and what most people would want. There is also a polyrhythm feature which again is not per step, but allows samples to play “off grid” in a certain way, which I consider pretty interesting. Lastly, it does include an Autosampler feature which can sample all 5 layers per pad, so if anyone has the samples already imported into another app, you could use MIDI and resample it into DSX2. Nothing here that changes what @wim has already answered.

Great info @EdZAB 👍🏼
Thank you kindly @wim
Thank you for the info @EdZAB . I will check out with autosampler. I want hot swap between my drum samples to choose the best sitting into the groove. So it would be essential for me.
@wim Thanks for clarifying it. I have around ten drum machines on my iPad, but I’m not satisfied with any of them. However, with the addition of user sample folders, Digistix2 would probably be the best — sharing first place with Patterning3.
I have to accept that there’s no drum machine on the iOS store that provides all the functions that are important to me. One has no randomization, another has no multi-out or pattern presets. Sometimes midi drag&drop export is missing or no stem export. Often no way to "change-change-change" the sample with a fast and effective way till you find the best one. Usually there’s no classic accent, no nudge, and no continuous, random/LFO option for fine-tuning or adjusting the decay of the selected drum voice. Maybe these features are too specific or just not in high demand, I don’t know.
Controlled random patterns, layers, round robin and the ability to change drum kits while keeping the pattern are really nice features here — not to mention the autosampler as an advanced option.
