  • Just bought it. I didn't know there were so many system voices that could be downloaded, this is gonna be fun. There 's a lot of potential lol !

p.s. : too bad Siri voices can't be added (or can it ?)

  • @cem_olcay : There is still a serious bug in Speaking of Witch! Tested in AUM, Drambo and Loopy Pro: after opening a saved project in one of those DAW's that has a track with SoW in it, the first pad always speaks "Robot", but shows the text on the pad and in the editor of the text that is saved with the previously saved SoW-preset, which obviously can be something completely different!! My conclusion: there is something wrong with SoW's state saving...
Difficult to explain, but easy to test: in AUM: new session -> one audio track -> SoW in the first node -> select a SoW-preset that has NOT "Robot" in pad 1 (lets take 'Breakbeat Chops') -> Save session in AUM -> Open this saved session -> press Pad 1 and you hear "Robot" (and not "Check" on pad 1 from 'Breakbeat Chops'!!!
    Good luck!

    lol ! Good luck.

Has anyone tried to use Speaking of Witch with a "personal voice" ?
I can't test because I have an old ipad, but when I get a new one, I'd like to synthesize the GLaDOS voice from Portal

  • The new version is live.

  • Thank you, @cem_olcay , for killing the bugs I mentioned and for more Oneshot options!
Allow me to submit another feature request: it's mainly about the fact that the sample speed depends on the host's tempo; so every time you change that tempo, you have to adjust the speed of every sample in a preset, a lot of work that can rarely be the intention. My question and request: Is it possible to add a Default Speed in Settings (besides the Default Voice) that (if enabled) functions independently of the Host's tempo? Or do you know another solution to this problem?

Let me see your 5 star rating first ❤️👑

  • Yup, I’d like to second the request to in some way de-couple sample speed from host tempo. I like to work with very slow tempos.

PS. After having once used MacinTalk to “sing” on an SE/30, I think this app is just fabulous! Thanks!!
