Which is the most advanced arpeggiator? (doesn't need to be note a sequencer definitely)

edited November 2025 in General App Discussion

Hi,

I would need an arpeggiator, which has editable mutes, velocity, gate steps. so like a gate sequencer but midi instead of audio.
Also need an option to rhytmize the whole chord progression pattern by velocity and mutes and gates instead of arpeggio mode. This chord would come from my keyboards instead of an internal sequencer. But its good as an extra option.

Others like randomization, swing, octave and other regulars are also welcome :)

Auv3 or Drambo patch.

Thanks for any help.

Im thinking on StepPolyArp, but there is no video about Chord rhytmization. (by velocity, gate, step mute, step delay) possible?. I mean the arpeggiator part, not the sequencer.

Also looking for an "effect sequencer". I have Koshiba and Yukawa and Flux. Are there any similar audio effect in IOS? My best one is Tantra on desktop.

  • Not sure what you mean by chord rhytmitization but SPA is pretty much the gold standard for what you are describing.

When the arpeggiator doesn’t break the chord into individual notes, but keeps the chords and only applies as rhythmic pattern instead of arpeggiation. While you can still edit velocity gate delay or mute of a step.

    I will check out. Thanks.

BLEASS Arpeggiator can play chords and can play polyphonic arpeggios. Currently $10 on the App Store.

StepPolyArp can do that with a single button press.

Dead simple in SPA. Just hit the chord button and go.

Plus I can't help but think of burping something up in the back of my throat when I hear that name. 😂
If there's a word for that, I think it would be kebarp.

Steppoly arp #1 (most flexible) , BLEASS arp #2 (plays like an instrument), chaos arp #3 (so out of the box), kebarp #4 (easiest to ‘program’)

If you have these four you are missing nothing

If you don’t mind IAA then I can totes recommend arppegionome pro by that Alexander guy

  • One feature that SPA lacks (as far as I know) that I really miss is a mode where arpeggiated notes are forced onto the beat. SPA will trigger notes at the host tempo, but if you want them on the beat the first note you press has to be played bang on time otherwise the arpeggiated notes will be ahead of or behind the beat.

BLEASS Arpeggiator has a Beat mode that does this, but SPA can only trigger notes in a similar way to BLEASS’s Sync mode, as I understand it.

  • Step Poly Arp is so so deep and one of the most advanced.

Bleass Arp is up there too.

I have just downloaded StepPolyArp. Incredibly fast and flexible. Knows everything.

Yes this was only what is missing. But i can survive. If you mean step delay or similar editing.

edit: the different clock per line can solve it. :)

  • It’s hardware, but Midicake ARP is unmatched
