MIDI Loop to Widget

I’m using an external midi controller to trigger preset changes in an AU effect. To do this, I setup a button grid and used midi learn, such that the midi controller triggers buttons in the grid, and the action for each button is a specific effect preset.

I wish to automate the changing of these presets. So, I created a midi loop with the source being the midi controller. The loop successfully captures the midi notes, but the notes from the loop do not seem to be sending to the button grid. Do I need to select a “destination” for a midi loop to send midi to a widget? I don’t see a destination that fits this use case.

You need to set up a midi binding from the midi color back to the widget. See the automation example in Loopy Pro’s tutorials folder in the Sample Projects folder
