Stretching Audio is Exciting!
In this example, a toy rattle sample, from my Patreon Reward pack 57, is stretched by 600% and pitched down by 18 semitones.
First, the unprocessed samples is heard (4.5 sec) and then the stretched one (28 sec). The “exciting” speech sample heard at 00:19 is from Patreon Reward pack 58.
No other audio processing was used and the obvious tonal change in the stretched sample is only caused by the stretching and pitching down applied.

Absolutely fascinating thank you for sharing!
Just discovered PaulXStretch the other day, need to dive in further! It is fun indeed!
Glad you both enjoyed it!
You're welcome!
It is fun, I use it sometimes. Different apps give different results even with the same values. So it's good to experiment.
Note that in this video, even if I played back the samples in Auditor because I like the clarity of its screen, the processing was actually done in iZotope RX Advanced on a desktop computer.
Here's another example that I published last March, the main sample is stretched by 800% and pitched down by 24 semitones. It was done in Wavelab 11.
The video is more elaborate as it has 6 additional samples instead of 1 like the above example.
Imagine using these samples in the new 4pockets app samplescape or Igor V’s new sample “scraper”
Indeed, yesterday I watched Doug's (TSTR) demo of Samplescape, very nice app. I am not familiar with Scraper but I bought Igor's SpaceFields two days ago.
I totally agree, stretching is super exciting and inspiring. When I have AUM open with a handful of droning synths, there's often a File Player channel with something that I've stretched out with PaulXStretch...usually behind lowpass filter and some fun effects like Alteza or GRFX. Very fun and easy to stumble into ambient serendipity with a stretched sample.
Sometimes, especially with the Memory Collection samples, I will stretch lightly a speech sample to make a fast dialog more intelligible with settings that preserve the original pitch.
Also speeding up (shrinking) a sample can be fun too with some samples. But I do generally slow them down.
