LP -clip keeps recording even when I stop playing?
So, I record the loop, say, a simple five note scale. It records fine but when I stop playing the clip seems to keep recording. If I let it go the clip just gets longer and longer with nothing actually recorded. Then when I tap the clip to stop, all the empty space is kept, and I get this long space between the end of what I recorded and when the loop restarts.
Even when I manually tap the clip to stop recording immediately when I stop playing, there is ALWAYS a gap between the end of the five notes and when it loops to play again.
I have searched online the manual and even here but I cannot find where this is changed. Obviously I am missing it in settings somewhere, or I am misunderstanding what something means in the manual, but I cannot figure what it is.
I also tried setting the clip to a single bar - still get the space.
Will keep researching and playing around with it while awaiting any replies.
EDIT: and I'll add it does the same thing even when I import a piece of audio into a clip.

Please describe also what you want to happen and post screenshots of the playback settings and recording settings and a screenshot of your project.
If you have customized particular clip settings, please screenshot those.
Unless you have pre-set the tempo and turned on auto-count out, you need to tap or midi trigger the recording end.
If you pre-set the tempo the recording count-out settings determines when the recording ends.
The settings panel explains what the settings do. More details are in the manual in the clip settings section.
