What’s been your favorite “Black November” app you got on sale so far?

We have the thread for discussing sales happening
We have the thread on what sales you’re waiting to happen
Let’s have a thread where we talk about the sales we took advantage of!

I got a lot of beathawk IAPs which I’ve enjoyed - Spanish gypsy, classic drum machines, and some world instruments. Crystalline by Baby Audio may be my new favorite reverb. I finally got Ambiente on desktop to complete the circle on my most used iOS apps on Mac as well. Pure Piano and Pure Upright are getting a lot of mileage as well. Very straightforward to set up and morph sounds together.

  • Transit 2 is pretty awesome, fyi discount will end soon.

  • edited November 2025

Transit 2, Bleass ARP, and a couple of intro offers which were out just before the madness kicked in - Klevgrand Walls, FAC Polyflo

  • Continua. Didn’t expect it to hit like this, but it’s magical. Having fun with the Drambo formants IAP as well. And Pro-Q 4 is as advertised.

  • Staffpad. What an amazing app!

  • Fabfilter Pro-Q 4...really pleased with it...

  • SAND Sequencer blew me away! Can't wait to learn this one more!
    TapeScam my favorite too!
FRMS out of this world! Loving these apps!

  • Wow. Just found out 4Pockets Multi track app works inside SAND for audio tracks! It syncs perfectly with host wow!!!!

Did you happen to see my thread on multi track? Are you able to arm multiple tracks for recording, and can you route different plugins to specific tracks in multi track? (Off topic but on the nose)

  • Testere …holy shit pair that with Mariana and watch the fireworks

Oh man with all the 🦃 thanksgiving cooking and grandbabies around haven't had a chance to test that. I think the only thing I've been able to do is import samples into the app and run them or loop them alongside my other tracks in SAND.

  • So far the clear winner is Transit 2... by default ;)

  • Riffer by audiomodern

  • Drambo and all three of its IAPs 🤸

This. Only got one iap though.

    What an amazing app.

  • AUM, by far. I should have listened to everyone and got it long ago. AUM and Drambo are currently my most-used apps. I'm not really doing anything in AUM that I can't do in any other DAW or groovebox app, but it feels so much more fun and liberating.

That said, I quickly realized the need to augment my sequencer and FSU FX toolbox to make the most of AUM. I have Rozeta, Drambo, and Octachron, but I need more...maybe Loopbud or Midi Tape Recorder? Fugue Machine?

I'm enjoying SAND too, but I already knew what to expect based on the trial. I wanna say Tera Pro, but I haven't really dug in yet.

  • there’s a bunch of au sequencers that look good, i haven’t tried that many but xequence and neon look promising

  • Got RhythmBox and MixBox for desktop for 1.48 bucks through plugin boutique using the code
PIBINDIAPITCH. Tip from 99 sounds
    https://track.gumroad.com/CL0/https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/24-Sequencer/12681-Rhythm-Box?a_aid=5241029371df5/1/0100019aa1721c19-ab572ff6-875c-46a1-ab6d-f6d1ce3ba047-000000/onUgAHvVnjxKJ74BAhJ_FW2j-VpDnam3iTDTl-3_s=432

Since my idevice is old and cannot run a lot of stuff anymore it was a good deal so I will plug MixBox into Reaper for my final touches after tracking apps and hardware into beatmaker 3 or audio evolution mobile

Mariana is the reason I added a subwoofer to my studio setup (awesome sale price this week.) That app paired with anything will stress your monitors out!

    Continua is very good indeed.

If you appreciate the powerful modulation options then perhaps consider the generous sale of SugarBytes Factory if you haven't got it yet. The modulation matrix goes quite far beyond a normal mod matrix. It is a steal at $8.

  • Got the classic Fugue Machine for $10. It’s fun so far, so I understand the hype now. Not ready to upgrade to the new one yet, though.

  • I was thrilled to see SpecOps on sale for 20 and Mixbox as a free bonus gift if you get it on plugin boutique (desktop versions)

I still use base Fugue so that’s a really good value. If you start feeling limited with the original look into Rubato but till then the original is great.

StepPolyArp is a must. Arp with freely editable notes. Or as sequencer. Or simply add rhythm to your 4/4 chord progression. Lot of randomization, in and out of scale etc. Also there is a drambo patch on patchstorage to make channels to follow your chord, or make transpose for all your synth chanels with one key on keyboard… Chord Note Follower. Plus just purchased Helium for halfprice to browse and preview midi clips in realtime. Plus Scaler2, Rozetta is enough for me. I think its worth to check out Midistep. A complete copy of Devicemeister Stepic desktop app where i helped a lot. :)

I jumped on the recent bundle sale from the steppoltarp dev and it was worth it. Lots of detailed control and a good randomizer to boot.

Will definitely look into Cem Olcay’s and 4Pockets’ offerings. For now, Drambo fills the need.

  • I bought Hilda this morning. Wow, such a fun synth — really designed for performing, and it’s super easy to get interesting stuff going. It’s kinda what I hoped VAPolyWest would be like but the UI is a different world entirely.

I did try the free version but it didn’t really grab me. I have Aparillo which I like, and there seems to be quite a bit of overlap. Also, I don’t like the interface. Not the design, but it just seems low-res and not sharp especially with text. Really bothers me to look at it for long.

  • Klevgrand OneShot for the Mac. I've been using it on the iPad since it was released, driven mainly by Logic's drummer, Octachron, and Rosetta Rhythm. I'd really missed having those incredible drum samples on the Mac, plus I wanted greater compatibility across the two platforms, so I couldn't resist the sale price.
