A challenge to Doug @ TSTR
We all (or at least should) know that Doug @ TSTR is a brilliant keyboard player. No doubt!
I was just listening to Deep Purples "Highway Star" and at 2:15 (from the Best Of album) there is a solo I would love to hear Doug play. Through iLectric maybe?
So, Doug - any chance?
Cheers!

Thanks Jon-Mortan, I'll have a listen, then lick a Steve Vai for you :-)
Seems like a fair trade if you post a video of yourself playing Blackmore's solo, J-M.
Also, Galileo or Pocket Organ C3B3 might be a better choice for Lord's sound.
Ups... might be out of my league in the end there
That's nothing for Doug.
This is the real challenge...

Doug! Doug! Doug! Doug!

Anyone know where to find a backtrack without the guitar?

I can supply you, if'n you're up for the challenge. That ascending run of 32nd notes is a bear.
I want to see Emerson try those stunts with a Mellotron!
I will need a year for rehearsal, I think, but it would be fun to try. Can't ask anyone to make something without knowing I won't fail

I suggest this for actual soundboard tracks:

I didn't know that...Thanks.
Not sure if the best thing about the Emerson video is the belt, the boots or the knife handle. It's one of them, for sure.
Doug - I challenge you to an Oreo eating contest!
I tried jamming a knife into my 50th Anniversary Edition Mellotronics M3000 app!
Does anyone know where I can get a screen replacement on an iPad Air pronto?!
@johnfromberkley: calm down man, you've eaten too many Oreos and now you're all sugared up and stabbed your freakin' IPad! Quick use that energy to go buy some Benedryl and wash it down with lots of water, clean yourself out before you do who knows what!
