I used to have one. I don’t use loopy pro, but I can just about guarantee the issue is that you’re plugging into input 1, setting input 1 as your input in loopy, then getting nothing. That fooled me early on when I used it with a daw.

Input 1-10 in your daw are the aux buses and the main L/R, then the individual inputs start at 11, so input 1 on the console is input 11 in your daw, and so on. Very silly of them to set it up this way.

By the way, if you decide to use the onboard multitracked at any point, get a powered hub and use an ssd. A usb stick won’t keep up when you get about a certain amount of tracks.

    I hope that helps!

  • Thanks for Your answer. My Problem is Not the Input section. I can Record anything. But i don‘t hear anything an the Output…

Have you been running the iOS app that configures the UI24R? Elsewhere someone has posted that they happily use the UI24R on an iPad and that there is a configuration app that needs to be run.

I have a ur12 that I have used over the last month with loopy pro and have had no problems.

    Here’s my setup:
    iPad /usb c/ USB Hub /usb c/ Focusrite Vocaster One audio interface /instrument cable/ UR12

    A couple questions:
    1. What device are you running loopy pro on?
    2. How are you getting audio out of that device (ie are you taking a headphone out, a usb dongle to headphones, an audio interface)?
    3. How is the output of the device connected to the ur24?

I believe the OP may be trying to use the UI24R as a USB audio interface.

Hopefully they’ll chime in with more details about their setup

  • The UR is a Steinberg interface. This thread is about the UI24R from Soundcraft. The question isn’t really Loopy Pro specific but rather how to configure it for use with i(Pad)OS

I think the UI 24 will act as an audio interface for recording multi track. I would assume that it would stream two channels of audio the other direction to the interface as well, but maybe it only goes one way.

The purpose of the thread is to help OP get their device working. They have the device. They need guidance from someone familiar with the UI24 to get it working.

  • Oh, if you can’t hear anything, it’s because you need to route your outputs of loopy to inputs on the mixer. Set the input of two of your channels to the outputs you use from loopy. You can use the usb input in the routing matrix if you want all of your physical inputs available to go to loopy. I believe that would be output 31/32 from loopy, but I could be wrong, I haven’t had my ui24r in over a year.

Even though it acts as an audio interface, it’s a mixer, so like any mixer you need to route anything you want to hear to channel inputs, then those get routed to mixer outputs. If you want individual channels in loopy to output to individual channels on your ui24r then you’d set the input of a particular channel on the ui24r to usb and whatever number output you’re using from loopy (remembering that 1-10 are the auxes and master L/R out of the ui24r)

Hopefully that made sense, it’s harder to type than it is to do.
