Set lists in Main Menu
Before you read below.... I hope I haven't missed something obvious in the the user interface. If i have please point me to it and accept my apology.
I'm struggling to understand the function of the set list feature in its current form?
I have constructed a setlist, but to access it from an 'open' project, I have to:
• Click the main menu
• Click projects
• Click set lists
• Click my created set list
• Then finally find and select the song I'm looking for
If your playing live, and want to call up the next song, this process is so complicated and time consuming. The audience are twiddling their thumbs waiting, and it really puts the pressure on you as a performer.
Ive created a button that takes me forward and back in a given setlist, but realized this button is locked into the project, so I would have to copy and paste and updated version of it each time I created a new set list, so its linked to that new setlist.
I have at least 50 songs in a setlist, so this would be a real pain, plus if my template for each song isn't identical, Ive would struggle to have a space to paste it.
Could I request a fix...
Option 1: Have a direct link to 'set lists' in the main menu
Option 2 (Better): Have a separate button under the current main menu folder icon just for setlist
Option 3: A floating 'set list' menu button (that you can turn on and off in preferences) that you can position anywhere on the screen, so left or right handed people have options.
Thanks for your consideration.

@deano : set lists are intended to be navigated with widgets or midi bindings not by navigating by hand. You can create a template that has your buttons with the load project actions in them.
At this time, you will need different buttons for different setlists . You could create different profiles for different setlists and enable only the profile for the active set list.
There will be improvements over time.
We have a page tor feature requests that also lists planned features. Upvote an existing request or add a new one as appropriate: https://roadmap.loopypro.com
@espiegel123 thanks for your fast feedback. Ive added to the roadmap page and in the meantime will experiment with with profiles as not familiar how they work. Many thanks.
Ive read up on profiles and I'm afraid i dont understand how they work. It talks about midi bindings (not exactly sure what they are) but im not using midi anyhow.
Please can you explain in more detail how i would do what you suggested when you said...
"You could create different profiles for different setlists and enable only the profile for the active set list."
Also, how do i access the profiles menu, as it only seems to show when in the pencil edit mode?
Thanks.
@deano : here is a short summary as I am strapped for team.
You can set up buttons to send midi to Loopy’s midi control system. I often use the free Streambyter AUv3 as an intermediary. Send midi to streambyter and set up the midi bindings to be triggered by midi from streambyter.
See: https://wiki.loopypro.com/MIDI_Essential_Tips_and_Tricks#Triggering_MIDI_Bindings_with_Widgets
There are actions to switch between profiles. You could set up a dial or radio buttons to switch between profiles for different setlists lists.
Profile switching is discussed in this article

The context is different but the mechanics are the same
