Rolling Stones a new recording

Dear all,

Rolling Stones, new song.

I am a rolling stone, for me another fun project to work on. Composing music is fun, but the mix is just as important. Since I am 20 percent deaf in my right ear and 40 percent in my left ear, this may be an even bigger challenge. Tell me what you think of this mix, I would really appreciate it. frenq

  • Just some guy giving my opinion: but if this was supposed to sound like rolling stones I don’t hear the resemblance. I don’t know their work much, besides from the hits

In any case, you have a solid production there, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Great job 👏

It is not about The Rolling Stones but about Rolling Stones. Thanks for listening, frenq

Your mixes always sound pretty good to me !

  • Thank you Tony, i will keep them rolling!

Weird thing is that first minute and a half do to me, 60’s stones ruby Tuesday, play with fire etc.
not massively into the bits that don’t, but that’s individual taste thing. Although, I might add that sound selection/ note length is what takes me away from it. So I had to be careful that I wasn’t judging the mix based on that, initially I thought certain things were too loud, but on another listen that’s my bias.

Anyway that’s not important. I think it’s a good mix.

I didn’t realise you’d posted so much music! There’s a lot to catch up on… it’s easy to miss new music on the forum once it drops off the front page so here’s a sublte bump too :-)

  • It may not sound like the Rolling Stones but it sounds freaking great to me. Well done.

  • At first, I thought the Rolling Stones released a new recording. It was your track though, and it was wonderful to listen to. Reminds me of some manner of Post Rock (or maybe that assessment is slightly off). Regardless, I enjoyed it. :)

The mix sounds fine to my ears by the way.
