Panic Attack

Hi LPF! My last track is out:

All composed on iPad in Logic Pro using Pianoteq 9, a lot of Transit 2 and a good amount of other synths :)

Comments

  • A great track, the rising tension fits the title perfectly, everything from the choice of notes to the sound design creates so much tension.

  • I like the ‘narrative’ through the entire piece. Especially break after the most intense part. Great piece! Bravo! 🤩

  • Really good. Starts with a really strong intro and then you get the cool percussion in the second half.

It has an ominous brooding tone throughout which doesn't really resolve and leaves you feeling a little bit uneasy.

Would be the perfect soundtrack to a dark psychological thriller.

  • Pianoteq is a great piano, no? Been using it for years. Curious what synths you used. Very eerie sounding track. Love it.

Thank you. Pianoteq is great. I also used Atoms (one of my most used synths), Blofeld for one of the pads and Tera Pro for another one. Then several drum layers using Battalion, Oneshot and Drumcomputer.

Thanks for the info. Blofeld is great. Just picked it up recently.

  • Nice! You got a new follower. I like how you you’ve processed the pianoteq. I feel when processing a piano it seems to easy to end up in NIN or Linkin Park territory, but you’ve done it tastefully and made out your own.

For “Worn”, is that also Atoms for the strings?

Thank you for the follow 🙏!
I loved how one of the Transit presets transformed the piano sound so I worked around that!

I wish it was that great  Most of the strings on that track are made in StaffPad, specifically Tina Guo library for the cello and Berlin Strings for the other strings (not sure about the last one, I often also also Xinematix which has some very good sustained string sounds).

  • Can only echo the positive comments above… great track 🙏

  • +1 This is really clever, great storytelling and brooding atmosphere, and crisp production!
