Low Poly Synth by Alexander Zolotov (Released)

Melodic atmospheric sounds with billions of unique timbres. +AU
Low Poly Synth is a generator of melodic atmospheric sounds with billions of unique timbres.
The app is built on modified synthesis algorithms from Fractal Bits, Relic Waves, and Relic Flow, with the addition of pure tone generation code. The sound space is divided into 4294967296 presets, each corresponding to a set of 8 sample textures. The volume of an individual sample can be adjusted in the top panel or via MIDI (Settings -> MIDI Mapping). The bottom panel is a classic musical keyboard that sets the note for the sounds in the set. Each note triggers all 8 samples at once
- together they form a complex harmonic pattern that almost never repeats over time due to the different lengths of the looped fragments.
Features:
- search for new sounds with three buttons: next random set, edit code, previous set; each set of 8 sounds corresponds to a code of 8 characters (you can save/copy/paste it as plain text);
- three types of keyboards for live performing: on-screen, PC keyboard, MIDI input; for the on-screen keyboard, you can set the number of displayed octaves and scale;
20+ parameters can be controlled via MIDI or directly through the app interface: Settings -> MIDI
Mapping;real-time audio recording to WAV (32-bit);
- export to: WAV (one file or a set), SunVox (samples + effects in one file), text clipboard;
- the LCK button freezes individual samples - they will not change during the search for new sets;
- Audio Unit Extension (AUv3), Wi-Fi export/ import.
Double clicking on a parameter opens a window for setting the exact value.
If you enable the Hold option, the notes will play endlessly, without reacting to key release (noteOff) events; turning the note on again works like turning it off; there are two ways to enable this option:
1) using the Hold parameter in the "MIDI
Mapping" window;
2) by pressing the HOLD button, which appears in place of LCK while playing the musical keyboard: press HOLD, release the desired notes - then the released notes will continue to play.

Oh yes. Off to the app store I go...
Oh man, this is cool stuff 😎
Fun!
Haunted organ sound generator! Loving this.
Amazing, worth way more than $1.99
I was just thinking about when this would come out. I love Zolotov’s apps and can’t wait to try this one out.
+1
Oh yeah!
Great fun and almost too cheap. Then again the functions are pretty limited beside that you can lock and change volume on each individual sound, but that's it.
This works well with SpaceWalk 🔥
Interesting. Zolotov has managed to make yet another that still maintains a unique character differentiating it from the other excellent offerings in this series. Love it 😊
Brilliant app, and works perfectly in Ableton too.
Currently putting this through Solderbox FX and the (free) Sol reverb with various controls mapped to X/Y pads, which turns it into a granualr synth type experience, that'd normally cost 50x the entry price.
Cool, I was just going to ask if it runs through DAW's because the website says the desktop version would run as Standalone.
Yeah, it works perfectly in Live (haven’t tried it in Logic yet, but I’m sure that one too), as do most of his apps.
In the meantime, I got the iOS version, here's a demo I did:

Instabuy and instalove.
Is this guy a genius? Yup!
Dang @Gavinski you’re quick! Love your channel, btw.
Instabuy, love this app.
Thnx!
Btw, @Samu or anyone else…I forgot how aggravating I find the file handling in these Zolotov apps lol. I can figure out how to export individual samples from a preset but not sure how to export all 8 at a time. Could anyone outline the least painful process?
I didn't get this one but I suspect it's the same procedure as with the other three in the series, which I no longer have installed.
(I'm totally done buying apps I maybe use once or twice).
I⃣N⃣S⃣T⃣A⃣B⃣U⃣Y⃣!⃣
It is the same procedure. But it's so strange for me to me that I can't figure it out or remember it. Could u maybe tell me or direct me to a clear explanation, as I remember you're familiar with how this system works?
Well, I'll be damned, I think I covered that process in an video on Relic Flow lol:
Export / Import > Export to WAVs. Accept the default name or edit it. Hit OK. You'll end up with eight samples with the name as the prefix.
Go back to Export / Import > Wi-Fi Export/Import. Make note of the URL. Leave that screen open, then open a browser and go to the URL. If on the same device you can also go to
http:\\locahost:8080. You'll see the files listed and can download them.[edit] oops. Crossed posted before you posted the video.
Thnx Wim, I think that might be a slightly different process anyway, I don't remember having to use a browser. Really wish the dev would implement a more user friendly system for these things. I know it might make sense to some ppl but it is absolutely bewildering for most users.
Blimey there’s been some good stuff coming out lately. And for £1.99 this is a no brainer. Just need to tear myself away from Battlestation and Exosphere to play with it!
Bewildering is part of the charm of these apps. 😉
It's like going camping. Nothing is easy but it's all fun if you're in the right state of mind.
oh man. I think I could play with this all day. What a fun app.
I don't normally do ambient, but with something like this how can I not?
