Best app for creating SF2 soundfonts?
There are many good players but are there any that I can use to make soundfonts from my own samples?
Would really like to hear of something ![]()

I recall that there’s NOT an IOS app to create SF2’s… there’s a free one for Mac/Windows called “Polyphone”.
But I would love to find out there is such an app now.
I can't think of any SF2 creator on iPadOS/iOS.
You can make SFZ format sound fonts with isFizz by editing a text file. It's fairly simple for basic playing back of a single sample per note. It gets a more complicated if you want to do more than that. It's a interesting standard to learn though. You can do some amazing things all by editing text files.
There is PolyPhone on desktop, but tbh, I can't stand it.
Also, if sfz will do rather than soundfont, there is Folder to SFZ Converter from Versilian Studios.

I’ve successfully used it to create an sfz with multiple velocity layers so it can’t be that difficult to use.
It says it’s platform agnostic but requires Java 8+; I’m not sure whether that means it’ll run on iOS or not?
