ScaleBud 1 vs ScaleBud 2

I've had ScaleBud 1 and 2 for as long as they have existed. But I have overlooked their use. I've been looking for an app for quite a while that will let me select a scale, mostly just modes, and list the chords. I have only just now realised that without even making use of them as intended, they are absolutely the best apps I can find for this exact purpose. I would add that v1 is better because of the layout. Just wanted to mention this as I overlooked that these apps are more than just a midi controller. Thanks @cem_olcay

    I appreciate that feedback a lot. I was considering picking up Scaler 2, but I'd rather not have something heavy or that would inhibit my workflow in any way. My music theory is far from perfect, and at times I find myself stretching for a good chord change to capture attention, or to transition into the chorus. I don't need something heavy-handed for that, just something to guide me in the right direction with potential options and/or give a bit better immediate visibility of the key and chords. ScaleBud has been mentioned a few times now, and one of the reviews actually compares it favorably over Scaler for some of these reasons.

    It looks like both 1 and 2 are still available to buy separately, so I'm going to dig into them and see if one might fit better than the other, or if both might prove helpful.

    I guess there is a significant update from v1 to v2. But for me, it's just the UI change. I previously said I prefer the v1 UI, and while that is true, I just kept v2 on my phone. There's not a huge difference, and in some ways it's easier to read. But again, totally awesome just as an educational tool.
