Handy Harp II - Released
Hey! We released a new app yesterday.
It's a tool that supports pedal operations for pedal harp.
It's not specifically for iOS musicians, but it's really handy for composing, arranging and orchestration.

Pedal harps have seven types of strings (C, D, E, F, G, A, B ), and seven pedals are used to shift the strings flat or sharp.
When working in a DAW on a computer, the usual workflow is to input glissandos in real time using the white keys on a keyboard, then go back and fix flats and sharps afterward.
If you connect this app to your Mac, you can easily input glissandos using touch controls on your iPhone or iPad.
The app also includes a large number of scales and chords, so if you want to know the pedal settings for a specific chord, you can check them instantly.
Since a harp can only shift CDEFGAB by flats or sharps, unwanted notes almost always sneak in when you try to play chords.
For the built-in chords, we chose notes that sound as natural as possible, and when you select a chord, any extra notes are clearly marked.
Using the Windows/Mac client app, you can insert pedal markings into Sibelius and Dorico with a single click.
The Windows client is a bit behind in development, but it's scheduled for release in January.
The previous version was popular among harpists and composers in Japan. However, due to various circumstances, it has been discontinued.
It's a bit pricey, but we'd be happy if you gave it a try.

No auv3? Next!
This app isn’t really meant to be used as a plugin instrument. It’s more of a tool to support composing, arranging, and actual harp playing. That’s why I don’t really see a clear benefit in making it AUv3.
If anything, the only possible approach would be an AUv3 MIDI FX plugin that converts white-key input into notes with pedal states applied. But considering that pedal settings change frequently within a piece, that kind of workflow wouldn’t be very practical anyway.
