Out of curiosity… What gauge strings? I tried the light for the first time, the .10’s, not too long ago, and while it is slightly easier to play bar chords and such, I’m not as sold on the sound. I typically get a deep richer sound from a set of .12’s out of my Takamine.
I went for Martin 11s with the silk core, they’re nice and frisky feeling, though anything would be after the ancient ones that came on it (it’s an Italian 1930s parlour I got last year, and at the sellers recommendation I stuck with them as they were nicely darkened from age, but a little abrasive on the fingers truth be told…)
