Sampling Kontakt drums from Mac using AudioLayer - any advice going in?

I got AudioLayer to build some kits and was hoping to use the auto sampling feature to capture some drum kits from Kontakt on Mac. Is this doable?

My thought process is to use my Axe IO One on my Mac and use the amp out feature to send sound to my iPad with an irig pro duo to feed audio into. Is this viable, or will something be lost by reamping the Mac through the Axe? I’d imagine I should be outputting Mono.

I’ve also never used AudioLayer extensively, so maybe this is biting off a bit much? Any advice to avoid common pitfalls going in is appreciated.

I also saw Chameleon is on sale but that don’t seem to have export capabilities from prior discussions I’ve had here.

I have used AudioLayer to resample from kontakt. My Mac interface’s audio out was plugged into the input of my iPad interface. I sent midi via Bluetooth from the iPad to the Mac.
