  • Cool. Would love to have a Logic Pro version of this (and yes, I know about Apple's Logic Pro remote app already, which can be a pain to use).

  • Love Zack’s plugins. The website says Knobbler is now a native app. Does that mean it no longer requires TouchOsc?

It seems so. Also his price is very fair. 30 day trial too. I already like this guy :)

I’m going to give it a spin. It seems well thought out. Having to purchase TouchOsc and use it to run the app was a barrier to me in the past.

  • Trialed for about a week and bought. Maybe the best speed increasing and workflow smoothing app I have on iOS. If you have Ableton and and iPad you should buy this. I would not be surprised if Ableton doesn’t hire Zack because this is pretty awesome.

If you use the preference file that allows you to put tracks on record when activating them you can quickly flip through different MIDI instruments and control all or some of their parameters with touch on the iPad which is a huge time saver for me. Using the mouse way less and finding I can do so much with knobbier and the keyboard with a mouse that has some key commands programmed.

  • Will it work with Ableton Suite 11 ??

  • You will need love suite 12 or live 12 with max. Really enjoying this. It auto maps to any session and when you use configuration in Ableton and touch controls they automatically show up in knobbler labeled and colored. Happy with what it does now but also curious what else can be added in like hitting the on and off buttons for plugins in Ableton from knobbler.

Also your iPad still works in IDAM at the same time. I’m not a YouTuber but i might have to make a video to show how much I’m getting out of this app.

  • Look forward to your video!

I sometimes change my desktop DAW, as I find I otherwise develop bad habits. Knobbler has come out at the perfect time for me, as I’m just moving from Logic and getting to grips with Ableton, particularly session view with a Launchpad Pro. I’m more used to arrangement views (which is weird, as I love Gadget).

I’m not a huge fan of Ableton’s interface yet, but I have found Knobbler fantastically useful in enabling me to work out what I’m doing. Best app purchase I’ve made in a while. LK is also great, but for now Knobbler is doing exactly what I want.

    I’m afraid not.

  • Developer checking in here from 2026!

Since this post, Knobbler has gotten:

    • Buttons (on/off and enum params)
    • X-Y Pads on Knobbler pages
    • A mixer page, with levels for every track
    • Faster and more reliable

Thanks and happy to answer any questions or hear any feedback to make Knobbler better :)
