Can you save track setups in AUM?
If I set up a track with an instrument and effects I’m happy with in AUM, can I save that for later use? I see I can save the MIDI setup but can I save that particular chain of plugins?

Comments
Yes I think so …
If you save the session with your channel / chain of effects that you want as e.g. XYZ then you can later use the Import facility to import that channel from XYZ into your current session.
That's right. It's not exactly saving plugin chains, it's saving sessions with those plugin chains, then importing them into another session.
Cool. Any tips on how you (or from @GeoTony ) use the feature in a workflow? I’d think a project with the most common chains would work, though I make a lot of chains so folders with standard chains could maybe help one project from getting huge.
I never really use it. When I'm in AUM I'm usually just setting things up free-form.
When I was poking around with the feature, I set up a few sessions with all the signal chains I might want to import to other sessions. I named them starting with something like
_template... so that they were at the top of the list and easy to search for.I only have one channel / chain that I use a lot and that’s my default GeoShred Gong Lead setup.
I have that saved as the ‘Default’ session which means I can open it from the initial AUM page using the Default button + I know where to import it from if I need it in another session.
Other than that I just use the Import facility when I stumble across / remember a setup from a previous session that I want to reuse.
Honestly, my whole AUM sessions folder is a beast that needs to be tamed. I need to go sort through what’s worth keeping.
Same. Most of my AUM projects are based on this exact set up.
I used to think the same when I first started using AUM
