Buying a guitar interface?
Which seems to be the most reliable...heard the line 6 port and irig hd has flimsy cables...so the only one is apogee jam ? Btw the apogee jam doesn't come with an extra headphone or line out...how do u connect it to the PA for live use?
Comments
For now, I'm using the Line 6 Sonic Port VX live with JamUp. It has 2 TRS balanced outs, so I send one to my amp and the other to mains. I run a full range cabinet on stage so I use all the cabinet modeling in JamUp/Bias and use a direct PA line live.
The VX can also power your iOS device. Very clean. Only thing it's missing is midi.
Have u had any problems with those crappy cables line 6 has on the sonic port? Numerous bad reviews
I haven't had a single problem (yet). Haven't seen any of the bad cable reviews. What are the issues?
Of course, I keep everything in my live rig racked and tied down, and the cables never move. I don't even plug inputs or outputs directly to the unit - all prewired. I don't trust any of these iOS only interfaces to be roadworthy on their own.
No problems so far, though.
