Favorite synths/apps for TC-Data?

TC-Data just went on deep sale today, so I’m curious what everyone’s favorite sound sources are for the controller. So far I’ve tried Animoog and SM2; both were pretty great. What are some others y’all think really shine when used with TC-Data?

These are used in Stand-alone mode. When used in Cubasis 3 all AUv3 apps work 👍
    Addstation is very nice,
    Tera Pro is excellent,
    Synthmaster 1 & 2,
Sunrizer (mind your ears with this one),
    ID700,
    Lagrange,
    Lorenzt,
    Megallen 2,
    Moog Model 15,
    Moog Model D,
    Nave is also excellent,
    Polywave,
Steel Guitar Pro (for a really weird experience),
    Streetlytron 63,
    Teraverse is tremendous,
    Woodsynth,
    Zeeon.

I think that’s enough to go on at the moment. The TC-Data has put life into thes apps 👍

  • Lots are great! But, I just tried Geoshred out of curiosity… even though it already has an excellent touch play surface… and it responds very well to TCData :)

  • @rapidfire
Haha never considered steelguitarpro, definitely gonna give that a whirl!

For anyone having difficulties using TC-Data for Midi recordings inside Cubasis 3:

    1. Launch TC-Data. (Do this first)
    2. Select Midi Track 1 in Cubasis 3, select No Instrument, tap Routing, select [➡️ No MIDI Output > AUv3 plugin of your choice, (my screenshot shows Moog Model 15.)
    3. Select Midi Track 2 in Cubasis 3, select ➡️] Track 1 ( named No Instrument).
    4. Select Audio Track 3 in Cubasis 3, tap Routing, select ➡️] Mono Input > Inter-App Audio > TC-Data.
    5. Now select Track 1, tap RECORD.
    6. Immediately tap on the TC-Data icon on track 3 and doodle away on the controller screen, to stop recording just go back into Cubasis and hit the PLAY tab
You may see a small audio event recorded on track 3, just delete it, I don’t know why this happens?
      Mike.

    [EDIT]
I forgot to mention - enable MIDI THRU on track 1 so that you can hear what you are doing with the TC-Data when recording.

  • Another brilliant app to use with TC-Data is AudioKit One J6, particularly the Space Trip preset:

I had Nave crashing on me when I was using TC-Data and IAA in AUM.

I have AUM but never use it, but Nave and TC-Data works fine in Cubasis 3
