Pure Acid drums midi output and Logic

After finding Program Change a fiddly and slow way of selecting different patterns in Logic Pro for iPad I gave up and thought I'd use midi out instead.

I can record midi out from the synth fine but can't seem to get the drum's midi output to record...

On Logic's Inspector menu I'm going to Internal MIDI In, Instrument Output, Pure Acid. I've got Logic's MIDI In Channel set to 10 (because PA's drum are on Channel 10 right?)

Hitting record on Logic doesn't record anything. Am I missing something obvious?

Really wish all apps with a sequencer built-in would just use a low midi note for pattern switching like DC or Hammerhead... sigh 😔

    I don't use Logic, but I see that in AUM, Pure Acid has separate ports, which are different than midi channels, for its instrument and drums output.

    My first thought was that maybe you needed to find out if/how Logic supports different midi port outputs from AUv3 instruments. But then, looking in AUM, I don't see any midi output from the Drum sequencer on either port.

    I don't think midi out from the drum sequencer is working in Pure Acid AUv3. If there's a setting for that, I haven't been able to find it.

    Found it. I needed to go to the standalone version and change the setting from Off to a midi channel for the drums, then reload the AUM session. Now the drum sequencer outputs midi on the Pure Acid drums Midi Out port.

    You genius! Didn't think of poking around in the stand-alone version... I've gone to bed now 'cos this was pissing me off. Will try this tomorrow. Thank you for your time <3
