connecting Ipad w/focusrite 2i4 interface? how
any ideas what i need to connect my guitar to a focusrite to my ipad?

I've used an 8i6 with my iPad. Works fine with the Camera Connection Kit and a powered hub.
I have the 2i4 connected with a lightning to USB adapter, powered USB hub. Still cannot get left and right monitoring out of it. Just left. Frustrating.
@High5denied - even in mono mode? Channel 2 is also Left ear only?
If so there's something wrong with your 2i4 and you need to get it replaced. Assuming you tested your headphones on other gear with no such issues.
