Flight to London — Soho Night
The band touched down in London just before dusk. Soho buzzed like an amp warming up. Inside a small jazz club, bandmaster frenq gave a subtle nod, and the horns opened with a bright, brassy flare. The lead synth painted neon lines through the room.
Then CP stepped forward — guitar in hand, tone warm and fearless — delivering a solo that made the whole club lean in. For one night, Soho belonged to them.

This definitely has a Steely Dan vibe, and that beautiful synth lead solo, very much like the band Camel, and then there’s that Brass…..it really is convincingly good. The whole mix is as clear as a crystal 👌

I absolutely agree with the Steely Dan vibe. Also sounds like early Chicago. I gotta ask. where did you get all the stock sound FX and voice over at the beginning from?

@ecou and @jwmmakerofmusic, most of it is played live except for the drums, which were made with Jamstix. The guitar(s) were played live by my good friend CP, a top Dutch guitarist, the horns were played by me on the AKAI EWI 4000S, and additionally many Kontakt libraries and Ujam for the bass. Also quite a bit of cutting and pasting, kicking notes in Reapers midi-editor and the necessary hours spent editing and mixing. frenq

The mix was very clear with all the voices having a distinct place. I liked all of the lead lines but especially the solo guitar. The guitar leads had amazing feel and variety. Nice work chief.
