I'm curious about this too, or if the settings can be replicated by any multiband compressor plugin. I'm wondering what the exact settings are and how to set them up in an MB plugin.
Then again, Bark Filter works great already, and @VirSyn makes sure to keep it updated with bug fixes and all that. Does Bark Filter work in Logic Pro for you?
Bump.
What happens for me in logic is it will suddenly pop a message upon opening a project saying bark filter is not installed. And then it might freeze requiring a force quit and sometimes an iPad reboot. At that point, assuming I can actually open the project, I will need to manually find all bark filter instances and remove them. That’s why i would like to replace bark filter with, as @jwmmakerofmusic says, the built in multiband compressor or combination of other processors. I was hoping somebody may have already invented that wheel. Ahh the joys of logic.
Not to be that guy but to be that guy: something like this in Drambo?
https://patchstorage.com/banks/
Online 16 Filter bands instead of 28 but perhaps that could be expanded?
@Philandering_Bastard thanks for being that guy! I downloaded and tried. It might be overkill. The bark filter preset is called “triple band” so I assumed we only need 3 bands to replace it. I am assuming that the built in multiband processor should work because it has 4 bands. Is that a bad assumption? If not then the issue is just a matter of the settings to imitate bark filter. That’s what I was looking for and I would have the same questions with regard to drambo patch.
Hm. I appears that the magic of the triple band preset is in the compressor settings, not the filters as I had thought. Maybe you could try using another compressor with the same settings?
Triple band is just a 3-band multiband compressor. You can look at its settings in Bark Filter to see the freq ranges of the bands and the compression settings.
As often happens, by describing the problem in detail the answer becomes apparent. I just needed to copy the parameters from bark filter into multiband compressor. Here’s a link to a logic project that has the patch inside an empty track. It’s the only way I could find to share a preset. If you AB bark filter triple band and the multiband preset you may find them close. No cigar but c

So it wasn't more complicated than that? Cheers for the answer mate. I'll dig in and figure it out.
