iPad 4, iOS 8.1.1
Hi I'm intending to update my iPad 4 from iOS 7.1.2 to the latest 8.1.1. Should I do it? Are things smooth now? I hate to loose some apps like DR-OM but I decided to make the step because of the KORG Module which demands iOS 8. Any suggestions? Would love to read opinions from people that actually have iPad 4 Many thanks.

It's still save to say:if all of your(favorites) apps works without issues:don't do it.
I'm running iOS 8.1.1 on an iPad 4 without issue.
From all the iterations of iOS I have known 4 through to 8, the pinnacle has been 7 so I'd agree with @Crabman, if it ain't broke......
@kgmessier do you see any bugs in Safari, if you do, and I do, you'd have thought that would have been a pretty important bug fix on Apples list of fixes, because of how many people use it, I know it's not critical, but they keep rolling out the updates and still as yet no fix.
I don't have any major problems except Cubasis and Earhoof. The rest are working fine so far. On the other hand I work a lot with Gadget and the new KORG app is a great temptation plus the fact that I don't want to loose the sale, both the app and IAP's sale...

None that I recall. Can you be specific? I'll try to replicate them on my iPad.
Do web pages just disappear until you scroll up/down, happens quite randomly and frequently on my Mini Retina on the latest iOS version.
No, that doesn't happen on my iPad. Weird.
Happens to me all the time on my air 2. Pages not completely loading, freezing needing a refresh, etc… crazy annoying.
My ipad4 is IOS current and things work decently. Honestly the best thing (to me) about IOS7 was that Audiobus was not connecting apps thru the IAA system and I liked it better before IAA. The feel was different. I guess the IAA version of Audiobus is fine (I think it's a developer's miracle that they switched it so smoothly!) but I miss that first year before Apple decided to put their two cents in.
Thanks all, I took the risk and updated to iOS 8. Everything normal so far
Update: no it's not normal. At all...
