Forum outages
Hi!
Traffic to this forum seems to be constantly growing and with that come growing pains. If you're experiencing outages and if you're not able to log in or post, simply wait a few minutes, please. We're working on moving to a next bigger server instance but we're reluctant to do anything huge before or during the holidays. Long story short: stay tuned, faster Audiobus forums ahead either in December or January...
Also: damn, there's a lot of you guys. Nice to have you here.

Thanks for providing the forum Sebastian, it's a good space to hang out in!
I'd noticed it was offline a few times today but though it was down to network issues or Cyber Monday traffic surges - I've been having problems accessing lots of sites today.
can we help somehow Sebastian?
this forum is my first web i open...
i wish we can have here more official representatives

Heh, nah, it's all good. Just stick around. We've had to upgrade the server a few times already in the past. I just thought I'd drop by and announce it, just so you know that any possible outage is just a temporary thing.
If you will need something, just tell us
I'll scoot over and make room. We all need to sit closer together...

Very good Mister Horse: Funny AND a fair notion of the fact that we do seem to mostly do our best to be a friendly assorted mob.
Should add that I was having trouble (weird and persistent error messages) getting stuff to post over the past few days and the Gents at the other end got out the tape and glue and fixed things right up.
Funny thing is that I frequent a number of music making forums, and this one is without a doubt the fastest and most bug free of them all.

That goes both ways. Also: Thank you! You guys are the best.
Give a hint to Elektronauts.com...I love that place for what it is, but it is the most laggy, error prone forum I've ever encountered in the last 20 years. Gearslutz is marginally better.
The Audiobus forum as it stands is tip-top; I won't complain about further upgrades, but even if you let it sit for a few more years this would still be my top forum. Well done, and looking forward to anything in the future that streamlines it further.
@Sebastian - Is there an option to enable numerical page navigation in Vanilla for mobile devices? The forum works fine on desktop and iPad but there's no page navigation on my iPhone, which means there's a lot of scrolling to do when I visit a long thread.
Not a criticism, just a suggestion if the software supports the option
@Monzo: Not sure if there is. And even if there was, we're probably not going to change much with the forum before we update it to the newest version, which is probably going to happen after we move servers.
I'm going to put it on the to-do list and see if it's available for Vanilla 2.x or if there's a plugin for that. Thanks for the suggestion.
A new forum layout would be great.
