Rivet 01 - Console by Joe Topjian (Released) Free

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6758555219

Rivet 01 - Console is a console-style saturation and drive AUv3 built for techno and industrial. Put it on a drum bus, synth bus, or mix bus to add weight, grit, and “glue”, from subtle warmth to aggressive crunch.

Console is an AUv3 MIDI effect and requires a compatible host app. It does not run as a standalone instrument.

Console combines a fast, punchy drive stage with a console EQ + saturation circuit, plus oversampling for cleaner high-drive tones when you need it.

KEY FEATURES
• Pedal-style drive and character
• Console-style overdrive and EQ
• High pass filtering, pre and post EQs

RIVET SERIES / OPEN SOURCE
• Console is part of my Rivet series of AUv3 effects plugins targeting techno and industrial genres. Rivet plugins are based on the amazing open-source Airwindows DSP code and are made available free.

REQUIRES
• An AUv3-compatible iOS/iPadOS host (for example: AUM, Audiobus, Logic Pro, GarageBand, Loopy Pro, etc.)

Details:
Universal: Yes
Minimum OS version: 17.6

  • Thanks for the app! What’s console style saturation?

Probably referring to how a mixing desk will add its own unique sonic flavor to an audio signal. In short - just another type of distortion. 😅 The app is free, so I already downloaded it to my iPad and iPhone. Didn't get the chance to have a go with it in a piece of live Ambient yet (whether as an effect I pass a sound through into Koala, or as an effect I use after Koala in the live performance).

  • Loading this up the first time I noticed “diode clipping” at the top so I tried running my guitar through it. Not bad, especially for a free app!
