Arturia FX Collection 6 is out

Five new FX include Efx Ambient, Pitch Shifter-910, Bus Transient, Mix Drums, and Tape J-37 (several of which were released as individual FX prior).

Similar to V Collection, there's now a "Pro" and "Intro" edition of the FX Collection. Intro is $99US and includes 6 plugins (Efx Motions, Efx Fragments, Mix Drums, Tape Mello-fi, Rev Plate-140 and Delay Tape-201, so a pretty decent selection for the price), and Pro is $499 and includes 39 plugins. As an owner of the previous FX Collection I was able to upgrade to 6 Pro for $50. If you have registered Arturia products you can log in on the website to see what your discount is.

I'll be honest; not all of these plugins get my blood pumping, but I think Arturia is doing a better job lately of coming up with interesting FX. And all of them seem very high quality, even if some are a bit esoteric.

    I was initially interested in the new Ambient FX. Checked to see what my discount was, and found I can buy the whole collection for $129, which seems pretty decent.

    However, after installing the Ambient demo, I’ve found it’s not as exciting as I thought it would be - shimmery reverbs with some pitch shifting, that I can do with other FX already.

    So purchase on hold for now. Most of the collection I already have covered via built-in DAW FX, so really only interested in anything unique. So far only Motions is standing out - really like that one, and I’ll install the Tape and Fragments demos today.

    We’ll see. Really wish they had a randomise button though.
