Some 1628 Harpsichord
Here's a little something with the Ruckers 1628 with a little Thumbjam cello thrown in for good measure :-)
An improvisation.
Recorded all in-iPad using Cubasis via Audiobus. A little Altispace on the harpsichord, a little of Cubasis' native verb on the otherwise dry-from-thumbjam cello.

Gosh, the harpsichord brings up such a mess of cinema images in the mind's eye....sounds like you had fun playing that Thanks for letting those of us who might have decided it was a niche too far the chance to hear the sound of the 1628 in action.
@JohnnyGoodyear Thankful you appreciated it. I'm really glad I pulled the trigger on it. All I can say is - on studio monitors - this is WOW ! Really nice. I hope to do a fair bit more work with baroque instrumentation and orchestration. Sadly iSymphonic isn't cutting it for me yet - not enough control and no solo instruments - so, Thumbjam is the bees knees at the moment. (Along with the orchestral instruments in Notion).
Ah, Notion. I suspect I shall annoy you with some questions on this app. I am intimidated by it but in the way I've learned to trust is a good thing.
It just jumped up in price. Too bad. I was considering buying it for 10 bucks.
Nice track! The price suddenly went up to €22! Not going to get it.
Refreshingly 'beautiful'
Thanks
Reminds me of something Mike Leigh would use in a film. Excellent use of Thumbjam's Cello. Nicely done.
Great combination. Thanks for sharing! Now if Thumbjam would just provide a viola da gamba...
Ah @Munibeast ! I hear you. :-/ That's why I decided to take the plunge and get it - figured at the intro. price it was worth it. I'm sure it'll go on sale again at some point.
@knewspeak - why - that is so kind. Thank you!
@pangolin - appreciate the thought :-) . Thank you!
@kgmessier - thank you! There are several orchestral instruments I am missing on the iPad. One would be a recorder. I would like to score some baroque recorder music for a recorder quartet or above - but alas there's nothing really suitable. Symphony Pro has a recorder - but inaccessible outside of Symphony Pro. Notion has some great LSO sounds, but inaccessible outside Notion (at present anyway) and missing some important scoring features like a full 3-stave organ scoring capability (i.e. with pedals). Such things have been requested on the Notion forums at Presonus already BTW :-)
Maybe we can find some suitable other gap-fillers for TJ. Would be great. Problem with TJ is while it's great for expressive live playing, it's harder to write to from MIDI with the same expressiveness, and does not correspond to scored dynamics and articulations. So, we're still in an in-between stage for some of this stuff. Nevertheless - a lot can be done already! Thankful for that. :-)
