Questions about Iconica Sketch (2026 opinion)

I’ve been looking into Iconica Sketch, and I have a few questions for those of you who are already using it in your workflow.

First off, I noticed the app size is listed at only 22.3 MB on the store. While I understand this is likely just the "wrapper" or the plugin engine and that the actual library content is downloaded separately (I guess), I’m still curious: for a "lightweight" library, how does it hold up against the bigger players?

A few specific points I’d love your feedback on:

CPU Usage: Is it as resource-friendly? I use mainly the A15 chips.

The "Small" Library: Does the compression or the smaller sample pool affect the realism significantly? Why is the footprint so small compared to the massive 100GB+ libraries we usually see?

I'm really tempted by how compact it is, but I'd love to hear some "real-world" opinions.

    @Montreal_Music, after you install the app you have to download Sound Content which is around 1.8 GB. I saw that you have to have probably double that space free in your iPad or else you could run into issues. About CPU usage I have had 6 instances running on AUM with a max DSP usage per instance of 15%, this on an iPad with an A16 chip, but I remember not having any problems on an A15 chip.
