Which Logic packs are worth the space? Which ones aren't?

A few weeks ago I purged a bunch of stuff from my 128gb iPad Pro M1. I didn't see a big increase in free storage, but when I checked back yesterday, free space had gone up from about 25gb to about 50gb. I don't know what happened, but I'm thinking about reinstalling some Logic packs.

Which Logic packs do you think are worth the space they take up? Which ones aren't?

  • I mean it really depends entirely on what you're doing and what genres you're playing in. As generic advice, I'd probably skip most of the "producer packs", get all of the instrument packs, and pick and choose from the genre-based sound packs.

  • Additional considerations, for those who are inclined to respond:

    • How do you rate Logic’s pianos compared with, let’s say, Ravenscroft?
    • Or Logic’s studio instruments with the ones in UVI’s Beathawk or Steinberg’s Iconica?
