I looked at Descent and immediately thought I could cover it all easily with GRFX, which didn't cost much more when it was on sale. I haven't noticed the heating and battery drain to be honest, but I'll keep an eye out next time I use it.
I remember the graphical effects of GRFX (Settings → Harmonic Triangle Animation) having a high impact on peformance on my iPhone, in case someone wants to try disabling that.
Yeah I vaguely rememeber some discussion about that around the time of the release.
I'm really enjoying this! Pairs beautifully with Dynasinth and MiniRev. Ambient for days... I have GRFX and it sounds really great but because it's so deep I find it a lot more effort to program. For me it's easier in a jam to bring this up for something kinda beautiful or GSDSP Quantum Granulator for sometime more choppy/glitchy. On this a randomise settings button would be lovely...
