BENFEI USB C to Audio Jack Adapter with Charging
This has been nice, works well, sits about as flush as I think something like this can. USB C is of course just for charging, not data. Anyway, I like it!

Looks great! How is the audio quality?
Ugreen also has one very like this, that I've been using quite some time.
To my ears it sounds as good as the apple usbc/headphone jack. Been using it for over three months now and build wise haven't had any problems either, so I ordered a couple more just to spread them around.
I would get that one but unfortunately amazon canada doesnt have the right angled version.
Oh interesting. I hadn't understood that was a requirement, and now I get why. I've been relieving the strain on the USB port by attaching clips to the back of my protector case, and running the cable through them so the adapter is always suspended. A right angle widget makes a lot of sense and I should probably get one,
Any background noise whilst charging? Interrupt play when power connected/disconnected? (that could just be an iOS thing)
I wish I could find a genuine hi-res audio one. Chinese cheapies often put "hi-fi audio" in same font/design to catch you out
I was quite surprised at the lack of issues given how cheap it was. No problems while charging and I have not noticed any interruptions while plugging and unplugging power. But yes, that could be a device / os specific quirk though. I am using an M1 Pro on 18.6.2
To my 50+ year old ears it does sound good.
For me the right angle is to make it slightly easier to use while holding as well and the nice thing about usbc of course is you can flip it around for some flexibility.
Thanks @AudioGus good to know cheers
