Ah yeah I saw this, tempted to try it out, be nice to even stuff it into a guitar ๐
anyone know what kind of rigid wire he is using here for the framework of his connections? it has to be solderable , but not sure what it is
You're lookin' at it the wrong way my friend.
One day, one day ๐ค
I started to watch that video hoping it was a tiny tube amp design. โLM386โ should not be mentioned within 10 miles of a Dumble.
And $5 wasn't a clue to you that there were no tubes? ๐
Not to mention the thumbnail of the actual thing.
I'm a little disappointed that video didn't provoke any comments like that sooner. ๐
It's just a bit of fun.
I bought the schematic from his site after seeing the second video. Iโll build it sometime soon.
I much prefer this one in my (bass) guitar:
TinySine TSA1701
It's a DSP board that can fit with a little rework, it's under $30 and insanely powerful. The Windows software lets you chain DSP modules, a bit like a modular synth, and assign the 4 pots to anything you want. It has equalizers, compressors/limiters and much more, just not delays or reverbs because memory is too small.
If you want a specific direct guitar sound that you weren't able to get otherwise from your guitar then I'd say this is worth trying.
Cool @rs2000 ๐๐ผ

wow thatโs really cool. never heard of this one. how does it sound?
The sound quality is really good, high dynamic range, low noise and latency is very low too.
Look up Sigma Studio from Analog Devices if you want to learn more about the modular editor.
And if you prefer to have a standalone box:
