“Case friendly” usb-c stick for ipad.
Has anyone recommendations for a usb- c stick that fits in the ipad port with the case still on.
I have a samsung stick that doesn’t go all the way in because of the case.
It’s not a very rugged military grade case,
just a spigen/ nilkin one.
Any solutions besides taking the case off every time?

One solution is to get a short USB-C cable extender...
Good idea. Ordered one right away.
Update; a (data)cable extender doesn’t work with the ipad 11.
A dongle with power supply does work with usb sticks.
Somehow the ipad 11 itself doesn’t deliver enough power on itself to work with usb sticks.
I have a cable extender and it only works when plugged one way. Did you try flipping the usb c polarity?
@Meek3 - have you considered enlarging the opening in the case?
Didnt know that. Shall try it later on.
No but that is a risky undertaking 🙂
I am not sure that I am reading this right. Do you mean that if you remove the iPad from the case, the USB stick isn’t working when plugged in to the iPad? If that is the case, the issue isn’t the extender.
No I mean it only works when it’s powered.
So you have to use a dongle with usb and power but just an extension cord won’t work.
The issue is that it needs power whether there is an extender or not; correct — so not that the extender is the problem.
What is the particular USB-Stick you are using?
An usb-c one from Samsung
