It does, and it does show in the device list now. There was a connection problem. I needed to unplug and re-plug the Lightning USB3 adapter.
So, only the relatively rare device that doesn't accept audio output won't be listed in the control center.
[edit] I haven't been able to find that input picker you showed in a screenshot. Do you have a link to the forum post?
@espiegel123 - I haven't been able to find that input picker you showed in a screenshot. Do you have a link to where you saw it?
I did a search for ios26 audio input select and several videos showed a similar picker. I screenshotted one. If you do a search you should find one as it allows you to choose a different input device than is used for output.
Is it the one listed in the Sound and Haptics section in Settings maybe?
@wim: this isn’t the video I watched but it explains it
The video I screenshot was using the Control Center.
That isn't the dialog shown in the screenshot, but it does show a list o input devices. 👍🏼
BTW, does anyone know whether now, in iOS26, apps like AUM could finally take Airpods as mic source? It still doesn't work, I just tried, but is it something that the dev could make happen?
My understanding is that in Control Center there is a new widget for sound settings (and it applies to the current app). Maybe it isn’t there by default?
I see. It doesn't show in the control center unless you have an audio app such as Loopy Pro running. Then you can tap on the Orange bubble at the top. Otherwise it's accessible in Settings > Sounds and Haptics.
[edit] NOTE: if background audio is off in Loopy Pro, it will cease to show in the control center if it suspends to background.
Maybe this is a topic for its own thread?
Before posting it, you might check to see if they show up as an input device to the system. If they don’t then it is likely an OS limitation.
@espiegel123 :
I just came across this YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/@espiegel123. I'm so pleased that I did. I presume that is yours.
Thank you so much for this valuable resource. It's jam packed with essential knowledge on Loopy Pro.

OK - this might be a strange thing to read for experienced users, but for the sake of clarity in case others are under the misconception ...
YOU CANNOT USE THE SONICAKE SMARTBOX AS A CONTROLLER TO SEND MIDI OUT TO LOOPY PRO
In the Smartbox manual and marketing, it mentions "USB MIDI" and "Bluetooth MIDI.", but this is almost exclusively for incoming messages.
The metal buttons on the Smartbox are hard-wired to its own internal software. When you press these buttons, the Smartbox does not send a MIDI command (like a CC or PC message) out through the USB or Bluetooth connection. Therefore, Loopy Pro has no way of "hearing" that you pressed a button.
However, you can use a MIDI controller to send MIDI to the Smartbox to change presets - for example MIDI foot pedals, like the M-Vave Chocolate Plus or the more expensive MorningStar MC6.
@mglass : the USB host may be able to send midi to the Sonicake . Have you looked into that?
I reckon you’re right about this. But I’ve not checked it out myself yet.
That's how the Pocket Master works. The Smart Box is the same. You can send midi to it to change patches, adjust and toggle FX, and control just about everything else on the unit. You can control the Smart Box with Loopy, not the other way around.
The MIDI implementation is listed on page 30 of the manual.
