Automate ReelBus Tape Stop
I’m extremely new to parameter automation and using midi to control FX parameters. I’m curious if there’s a straightforward way to automate the tape stop and start on ReelBus, ideally at random intervals.

I don't have ReelBus to check if it exposes that as an AUv3 parameter. If it does then you can automate it, but since Loopy Pro doesn't have any kind of a random generator, you'll need an LFO app with a Sample and Hold LFO to send MIDI to do the random automation.
Start by engaging MIDI learn, then tap the little dial icon in the ReelBus window. Check under
Adjust Effect Parameter > Targetto see if the parameter is listed.Fwiw, I posted a couple of projects with streambyter’s-based randomization:

Good solution - though it needs notes sent to it. An LFO would run freely for random changes at selectable rate ... if that's what's wanted.
Yeah I confirmed it is an exposed parameter. Guess I just need to figure out the right LFO app to use. Any recommendations?

...are my two faves.
Humm. Thinking about this some more, an LFO might not work for this. You want it to happen at random times, right? An S&H LFO is going to run at a regular speed, varying only in the value. I'm not sure the best solution for this short of a Mozaic script. 🤔
I also don't know what kind of input the parameter is looking for, whether it's a continuous value, or a momentary or hold or toggle type switch.
