Got this one years ago and it is still my go to for drawing painting and finger drumming.

The ideal, simplest, and most stable option for tapping is the Ikea stand. Plastic. Non-adjustable. Two positions: standing and reclining. Perfect for a 13-inch tablet. Of my three stands, this is the most stable and cheapest option.
I bought this one after the last one I had for 10 years died. I use it with the 11 inches but it says up to 12.9.

K&M makes very good stuff. No plastic.

I have two of these stands:

They’re made of heavy aluminum. They don’t lock, but the joints are quite stiff. They stay where you put them with no flopping around.
You know I feel like the thread search has been letting me down a lot recently. For finding specific threads, I thought it was me, but this is like the third or fourth time I heard someone mention issues with it….
Depending on your particular use case, it could vary.
Lamicall makes a nice, affordable adjustable tablet stand for a reasonable price. I have the Lamicall A1 Stand. I’ve been using it for over 5 years, so they might have a newer model out. It works great on a desk, table, tv tray, quite stable at least for my use cases.
You want some weight but not an enormous amount, preferably metal to reduce any balance/stability issues, also the more adjustable the stand the better. I also like the rubber pads on the bottom of the A1 stand and everywhere the tablet touches the stand to keep it sturdy.
This is the stand I use for my iPad Pro 11”. It’s for an actual laptop but it works well for me with an external Bluetooth keyboard or Akai MPK Mini IV and a hub. It can be tilted so that the iPad is almost vertical and it doesn’t wobble when tapped repeatedly.
