Ripples (Solo, Vital Series: Mallets, Velvet Guitar, Continua)
This is a music track that I improvised on two MIDI keyboards connected to Bitwig Studio on a desktop PC. There the MIDI was routed to Solo for the bassoon, cello, and flute; Vital Series: Mallets for the vibraphone and glockenspiel; Velvet Guitar for the guitar; and Continua for the background instrument.
After bringing the audio recording into Vegas Pro, I applied the Lurssen Mastering Console plug-in to the audio mix.
It's titled Ripples.

This track was absolutely wonderful, if you could even call it a track; feels more like a “performance”. Listening transported me to one of those red upholstered seats they have in dark music halls or theaters. I especially like this Velvet Guitar youve been using recently, wish there were something similar on iOS (I usually use steelguitarpro when I don’t feel like setting up my electric guitar riggage, and it’s not bad but no where close to velvet). You have a knack for emotive playing. And as always the visuals are a spot on accompaniment. Marvelous mood, thanks for sharing!
Curious about the visuals. Where, how and is there an iOS equivalent?
Kinda sounds like ambient prairie music.
This is so beautiful.
Another amazing piece of music! Thank you for this, David.
@egobeats I'm wondering if Imaginando's VS2 could do visuals such as these. Now I'm curious as well (I don't have VS2 yet).
Thanks, @Squishy, @egobeats, and @jwmmakerofmusic. Much appreciated.
@egobeats, I tend to use PC-based visualizers as a starting point. Then I transform them using various video FX plugins in Vegas Pro. I don't know of any iOS equivalents, but there may be some out there.
Particularly enjoyed the flute and mallets on this one David !
Thanks, @GeoTony. Much appreciated.
