recording video

hi, I would like to record my performances using loopy HD, but video recorders apps (veescope, filmic Pro) let you hear everything, but record only the audio input (lightning adapter). I have AudioBus, but did not find any supported video app. any suggestions?

This is how I do it:

    • Using Audiobus with sound source(ie Loopy) as input and Audioshare as output to record sound
    • Shooting with my iPhone, without hurting anyone ;)
    • Transferring the video from my iPhone with Air Drop to the iPads Camera Roll
    • Sharing the audio from Audioshare to Pinnacle Studio
    • Adding the video to the Pinnacle project
    • Adjusting the soundtrack to sync with the video
    • Exporting the project again to the Camera Roll ready for editing
  • yes, this is the traditional way. Thanks, but do not want to be editing later.
The recorded sound is already very good and is synchronized with the video. That's all I need.
I've read something about Meteor and Auria plugins, but are too expensive for me. Looking for something simpler.

  • Then you'll need to do analog loop back, if your audio interface allows it. Stereo audio cable going from the output back into the input.

  • yes, I also thought that possibility. I did that when I was a mixer behringer through the effect output, then returning to a channel with zero effect. We currently only have a UCA-222 connected to the lightning adapter. This interface does not have many resources.
I emailed the support Veescope suggesting add compatibility with AudioBus. I'm sure many users would like novelty. Let's wait.

  • If you have a mac or pc you can use airplay on most apps to computer and then use xmirage or something similar to record the audio and video together into a video file. Xmirage works pretty well, i will post example vid done with it

  • Has anyone used the video add-on in Auria? I've wondered about that one for some time.

Me two. Can anyone chime in on this?

The video for Auria works great and Rim has some ideas for improvement too.

  • Thanks @Martygras. What iPad are you using and how is it on resources?

  • I see something so simple. Perhaps a universal plugin with AudioBus API to enable the internal audio signal in video recordings. :o

  • If you have a Mac running Yosemite its pretty easy, this worked for me. Just tried it to make sure it worked, didn't play with it much.

  • I think the easiest way is to use two iDevices. one to record the video and another to use the music apps.

I've been using an iPad Air (128g) and although the video files are only a few minutes long, it doesn't seem to use a significant amount of resources. I'll have to try a really long video file to see if I can get it to affect the processor.

  • Thanks @Martygras. If you do, please let us know how things went....

  • techsmith has a few apps like appshow and camtasia that may assist you what you're looking for as well as Air Squirrel's Reflector... These will record your screen and then you can sync the audio in post

  • bump because of the movers and packers spam.
