909 with separate outs?

Hola. I have been locoing setting up the AR 909 a while, and I love it, dont mind that it is late, but one with seperate outs is what we need! I love the effcts at it, X over, the limiter.. Its the most bouncy thing.
I came to pair it with the nembrini amplifier for tempering grit, it is a trip.

Setting the ol beast up I came upon wishing for seperate drums out, it would be nice. There are some old 909’s in the app store, I am aware of pure acid, and the new Tekno. That might be nice but I would like a pure 909 again that can deliver the oroginal feel with what we have been missing.

Can someone please make one, like AR-909 that does what we want?
Anyone up for it? (:

Hammerhead running the 909 template with Medusa

  • No, it's nothing like AR-909, but I made an SFZ soundfont of a large collection of 909 samples taken at various knob settings. If loaded into isfizz, there are knobs that do the best they can at mimicking the 909 knobs to select and morph between the samples. There's a multi-out version.

[edit] When looking up my earlier post, I found I had already posted this in response to one of your questions earlier.

@wim I am glad you share the concern. I downloaded all the 909s on Patterning 3, I realize dont want to mess with samples. If you made one with a proper rompler synth engine next to it it is interesting.
I’ dont want to mess with an Open text format for sampled instruments, you devs see beyond graphics :)
I need to stick in the garden. I make my own drums on BlipBox and Tekno, I am glad for making sounds.

I see a clear need in the 909 dept after AR 909 died, I wish someone like Oliver Greschke, Elastic Drums made one with seperate outs.
    Pure 909 esthetic
Analog mimicking with wider parameters on a synth engine
    Tweakable bass drum
Something similar to the Heat, Limiter and Crusher section

  • Yes. A9-909 is perfect. Except that it isn’t. It’s sad.

I forgot, I made a an attempt at a 909 in Drambo. It doesn't sound too terrible, to me at least. You could easily rig that up in Drambo as an AUv3 with multi outs - or just use Drambo's FX.

Excuse the corny name. I don't know what I was thinking with that one.

  • I must be going crazy because I thought Pure Acid could but now I’m not seeing an option.

  • BreakBud has separate outs, but it's not sample based. 6 synthesized voices.

Select the Pure Acid Multi-output AUv3 and you'll get all the outputs you need.

Doesn’t seem like you can separate the various drum sounds into separate outs though, which I thought you could do.

On the drums section of PA use the Drum Set/Bus switch left hand side, by the On/Off button.
Select Bus and then choose between mix/master out/bus 2 etc

Oh damn there you go. Thank you. @_smund this is a solid answer for a multi-out 909. Pure Acid for the win!

    The BassSynth sounds about right!

I want a pure 909 with drastic modulation options, but 909 in the bottom. The Heat, and Limiter option in AR 909 is hot.
Your drum machine sounds good! Reminds a bit of drumbrute mini!
